Wake up to Hypnosis

Tangle

Hypnosis + Psychotherapy = Hypnotherapy.

Hypnosis can help people  to overcome phobias, to manage stress, to stop smoking – even to get rid of warts! The list of things that hypnotherapy can successfully treat is a long one (click on Treatments to see where hypnosis can be of help). Claims for the therapeutic benefits of hypnotism are supported by solid scientific evidence. It is also a fact that hypnotised people retain control over their behaviour and maintain awareness of their surroundings. Contrary to the misconceptions engendered by the media and popular entertainers, people cannot be hypnotised against their will nor can they be made to perform embarrassing acts. The ancient Greek word for sleep, hypnos, which is the root of all “hypnotic” terms, implies that hypnosis involves being asleep. Research shows, however, that hypnotic subjects are awake and in a state of focused attention. This permits them to concentrate on therapeutic suggestions made by the hypnotherapist. These suggestions, which the client can always accept or reject, are intended solely to help resolve whatever is causing concern – all the way from Anxiety to Zoophobia. Hypnotic treatments enjoy an impressive success rate, often achieving results where other methods have failed.

The Scientific Approach

We offer a scientific approach to hypnotherapy by basing our treatments on psychological research findings. With consulting rooms in Thanet, Kent, and in central London, our hypnotherapy practice is well-placed to offer a personalised service to clients from across south-east England.

Your first consultation

We offer all of our clients an initial consultation of approximately an hour-and-a-half. This gives you the opportunity to discuss whatever is causing concern and to learn more about the undeniable benefits of hypnotherapy. Each subsequent consultation runs for about an hour.
